This tour will allow indulging into nomadic culture around one of the most famous lakes in Kyrgyzstan, the Son Kul lake or the Lake of Nomads. Its emerald meadows are rich, and therefore are used by shepherds from Kochkor, Naryn and At Bashi as summer pastures for their flocks. Besides you will learn how to make felt carpets at women cooperation in Kochkor village and visit their museum of antiquity.

Day 1: Bishkek - Ala Archa - Bishkek

After arrival at Manas International Airport, you will be met our guide, who will accompany you to the capital - Bishkek. The average distance is 30 minutes of drive from the airport. This tour of Lake of Nomads is going to be start from visiting Ala Archa gorge. In the course of your travel, you will be told that, before, the access to the gorge was allowed only for V.I.P officials. We hope that, you will be impressed by outstanding view from the Ala Archa gorge. During tours, you will find the great Tien Shan mountains and walk around forests. The distance is about 45 km from Bishkek city. Being in Ala Archa, you will be amazed by its landscape and clean air, as well as mountain streams. The second half of the day will be continued by a city tour in Bishkek. You will visit the Pobeda Square (Victory Square), Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Central Ala-Too Square, Old Square, National Philharmonic and others. Night in a hotel.

Day 2: Bishkek - Burana - Kochkor

We are glad to make the next tour of visiting the famous Asian Bazaar. It is a great opportunity to buy anything you want and take vibrant photos of locals and food when you travel to Kyrgyzstan. It is important to note that, this bazaar is diverse and noisy. One of the best places, where you can try your bargain skills. Later, you will be drive to Kochkor village and maybe pass by Chinese border. In continuation, you will visit Burana Tower, which was built in the 11th century. The Burana Tower was a way of rest in the Great Silk Road. In addition, you will find an open air museum of Balbals (stone warriors). The museum is dedicated to brave soldiers, who lost their lives in protecting Motherland. In the end of the day, your night is in a homestay.

Day 3: Kochkor - 33 parrots pass - Son Kul Lake

Your morning will be start from a hearty breakfast and continue to visiting the second largest lake in Kyrgyzstan - Son Kul Lake, the Lake of Nomads. You will drive through 33 parrots pass and capture wonderful pictures. Son Kul is unique lake, which will inspire you by its beauty and transparency. The lake is considered to be the highest alpine lake in Kyrgyzstan and lies at an altitude of 3013 meters above sea level. We will be glad introduce you by hospitable Kyrgyz families and give you a chance to taste nomadic dishes. It is one of the outstanding places, where you can enjoy pristine nature and explore the entire world. In the course of a tour, you will have a tasty dinner and stay overnight in nomadic dwellings - yurts. They are warm and comfortable.

Day 4: Son Kul Lake - Kochkor - Bishkek

Today's trip will start driving to Kochkor village through Kalmak Ashu pass. You will be shown a master class of national felt carpets by locals. We are sure that, you will like to make own carpet according to your taste. It is a fun hobby to get acquainted with national atmosphere of nomads. In addition, you will have an opportunity to visit a small handicraft museum and see various silver decorations; coats made of wolves, horse saddle decorations, carpets and many more interesting attributes of Kyrgyz culture. Later on, you will return to Bishkek and stay overnight in a hotel.
